Dear Families, The National Weather Service has issued a tropical storm warning for Hurricane Hilary from now until Monday night that will affect areas in Southern California, including Los Angeles County. Currently, tropical storm force winds of 20 to 40 mph are being projected with gusts to 45 mph in certain L.A. County areas. A flash flood warning has been issued for southern L.A. County with potential for 1 – 3 inches of water and higher in certain areas. It is advised to continue to prepare for impacts of the storm and expect roadway flooding, wind damage, and power outages. At this time, due to these possible impacts, Keppel Union School District will be closed tomorrow, Monday, August 21, 2023. We anticipate reopening schools on Tuesday August 22, 2023. For any questions or concerns please contact your child’s school principal. Stay safe and dry this weekend.
